MILAN – Ibrahima Mbaye rescued a late point for the Nerazzurri Under-19s as they entertained Chievo in a thrilling championship encounter this afternoon.
Inter dominated the first period and went ahead after 21 minutes
thanks to Garritano's neat finish from the edge of the box, but they lacked the same intensity after the restart and Chievo managed
to turn the game on its head. Ekuban levelled on the hour mark then
Franchini (71) took advantage of a defensive mess-up to put the visitors
in front. Just as it looked like Bernazzani's side were heading for a
home defeat, Mbaye (89) popped up in the box to nod home the equaliser.
The draw means Inter and Chievo remain locked together in second place on 32 points after 15 games.
