2012 SPECIAL: THE YEAR'S DERBIES

From Cordoba's last to Stramaccioni and Cassano's first, with goals from Milito and Samuel

MILAN - May, the final match and the final derby for Ivan Ramiro Cordoba as a Nerazzurri player: 454 appearances, 18 goals and 11 and a half years full of joy and trophies, ending fantastically with a victory. It was the first derby won by Andrea Stramaccioni as Nerazzurri coach; his head down, pointing to the sky, as Inter claimed victory on the night at the San Siro. It was also a special evening for Diego Milito who played a leading role on the night, hitting his first hat-trick in the Milan derby as a Nerazzurri player.

October saw the first derby for Antonio Cassano in a Nerazzurri shirt. For Walter Samuel it was his 10th win in as many derbies played, and he was the one who decided the outcome in this current season’s first derby.
