PRIMAVERA: TORINO 1-2 INTER, HEADS HELD HIGH

The Nerazzurri played well to win the game thanks to goals from Zaro and Bandini

VENARIA REALE (TO) - Inter’s Primavera team, coached by Daniele Bernazzani, nearly pulled it off. The Nerazzurri showed their character to win 2-1 away to Torino thanks to goals from Zaro (minute 41) and Bandini (minute 60), but because of the first leg result (1-3) they were eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. It was an honourable display in which the lads gave their all, and despite some questionable refereeing decisions (Bandini’s straight red card for dissent and the penalty awarded to the Granata for a foul that clearly occurred outside the box), they never gave up while trying until the last second to force the game to extra time.
