PRIMAVERA: INTER 2-0 CITTADELLA

A dominant Nerazzurri display: Forte broke the deadlock (48) then Zaro wrapped the game up (68)

MILAN - Inter Primavera picked up three important points this afternoon as they beat Cittadella 2-0 in their rearranged Week 6 championship fixture.

The visitors never troubled the Nerazzurri unduly and Bernazzani's charges were almost always on top of things, yet the first half ended goalless. But they stepped up a gear after the break and finally got their noses in front within three minutes of the restart. Forte collected Benassi's miscued shot and found himself with just the keeper to beat; Cabrelle saved the striker's initial effort but Forte pounced on the rebound to slot home the opener. The scorer turned provider in the 68th minute when he set up substitute Zaro, the centre-back making no mistake with his finish.

Today's thoroughly deserved victory lifts the Under-19s to within three points of group leaders Atalanta, whom Bernazzani's lads will meet in a top-of-the-table clash in their first championship match after the Christmas break.
