MILAN – It was 26 March when Andrea Stramaccioni became the new Inter coach, just hours
after winning the prestigious NextGen Series with Nerazzurri’s Primavera team. And
so, the Roman coach took over at the
helm with the first team and made his Serie A debut with a win over Genoa at
the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on 1 April (5-4).
"It’s a beautiful dream. I came back from the victory in London, which now seems months away, to a completely
different world. I'm not afraid. A dream is the correct
term; what I’m experiencing with Inter is a dream. I told the lads straight away, with great sincerity: for me it’s an honour to coach world-class champions."
These were the first words of the Inter coach who
on 29 May renewed his contract until 30 June 2015.
