MILAN - A wonderful afternoon for sport unfolded at the Centro Sportivo Giacinto Facchetti today as Inter and AC Milan Under-17s locked horns in front of 1500 spectators and an atmosphere of sportsmanship and fair play.
After a cagey opening period, it was Romney who settled the encounter on 34 minutes and give Inter victory in the derby. Despite falling behind, the Rossoneri maintained their shape and kept pushing for an equaliser right to the final whistle but were thwarted by a highly organised Nerazzurri side, who proved they were good for the three points with a strong second-half display, hitting the post through Bonazzoli.
Today's win sees Salvatore Cerrone's lads return to the top of the table on 28 points, one point ahead of second-placed Chievo.
