PRIMAVERA, CHIEVO 0-1 INTER: GARRITANO CLINCHES IT

Nerazzurri grind out win after a game low on thrills and heavily influenced by beating rain

DESENZANO - Daniele Bernazzani's Italian Primavera champions returned from a tricky away trip to Chievo with another three points in the bag, building on their opening-day victory over Atalanta. The Nerazzurri U-19s were made to work for it though, battling against fierce opposition and inclement weather, with a pitch bordering on the unplayable. The first 45 minutes ended goalless before Garritano grabbed the only goal in the 55th minute, latching onto Acampora's cross.

The result means that after two games Inter lead Group B of the Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti championship with maximum points.
