MILAN – As he entered his offices in the centre of Milan this morning, president Massimo Moratti gave a few brief statements exclusively to Telelombardia.

President, can you be satisfied with yesterday's game?

"No, we can't be satisfied. But if you look at the team – looking beyond the result – they showed good movement. They weren't running so much because it was terribly hot. Also, although you try not to let it happen, I think the easy first-leg win at their place perhaps played on their minds a bit. Anyway, we'll get back to testing things out now and see how we do."

Andrea Ranocchia was on the pitch last night and he seemed calm. He also said that helping the judiciary proceedings is the right thing to do. Are you also calm about his situation?

"Yes, I think so. We'll see what happens."

What did you make of the new pitch?

"You'd have to ask the players but I got the impression they were happier with it than they were with the old pitch. They had no problems with sods of turf or other annoying or dangerous things."

President, are you relaxed about the transfer market? Can we reassure the fans who are calling for more signings?

"Yes, we'll see. We're looking into it and something will happen."
