MILAN – Inter will face AC Milan in one of the two semi-finals of the
end-of-season championship finals for the Giovanissimi Nazionali. The derby for
access to the final match will be played tomorrow 26 June 2012 at 18:00 at the
Stadio Mangiavacchi in San Quirico d'Orcia, which is in the province of Siena.
The
result that the Nerazzurri earned on the pitch against Reggina (3-0; pictured
is striker Federico Bonazzoli, scorer of a goal yesterday) has been replaced by
a defeat by arbitration (3-0), as per official announcement 140 of the Youth
and Scholastic Sector of the FIGC which contains the disciplinary panel's
decision based on the referee's report. Inter have therefore qualified for the
semi-finals as runner-up in Group 1 behind Reggina, and will take on the winner
of Group 2 (AC Milan) instead of the 2nd-place team (Napoli).
The
penalty handed to the Nerazzurri was caused by an error in the number of
substitutions by an accompanying director; during the season in the
Giovanissimi league all of the players on the bench can come into the game,
while during the finals only seven players can be substituted.
