JAKARTA – Jonathan, Samuele Longo and Paolo Hernan Dellafiore signed autographs and posed for pictures amidst a sea of fans this afternoon during their visit to Inter Village, an area of almost 30,000 square metres set up outside the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium and devoted entirely to Nerazzurri colours.
Thousands of people flow through Inter Village every day. Besides getting the chance to meet some of the players, fans can also visit the Inter Museum, where the two trophies brought on tour with the team – the 2010 Champions League and the 2010 Club World Cup – are on display. There are lots of vintage shirts too, including one of Giacinto Facchetti's from the 1973/74 season and the one worn by Armando Picchi during the 1964 Intercontinental Cup final in Madrid, as well as other historical memorabilia like a 1930s football, a pair of boots from the 1950s signed by Antonio Valentin Angelillo and a 1960s pennant.
In addition to the Champions League trophy itself, there's also another 'historical' item from that unforgettable night in Madrid in 2010: Esteban Cambiasso's jersey
