SHIZUOKA - Yuto Nagatomo's Japan beat Azerbaijan 2-0 in a friendly to land the Kirin Cup, an annual tournament organised by the Kirin Corporation. The game was held at the Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa and was settled by Shinji Kagawa's 43rd minute strike and an own goal from Agil Nabiye (58).
The Inter defender, who is building up to his country's next game in their qualification campaign for the 2014 World Cup on 3 June, played the entire match.
