INDONESIA 2012: FRIENDLIES AND TRAINING HELD HERE

Inter will be visitors to the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, a multi-purpose arena with a capacity of 70,000

JAKARTA - The Gelora Bung Karno Stadium - which from tomorrow will be used by Inter both for training and the friendlies on 24 and 26 May - is primarily a football stadium but it's also a multi-purpose arena, complete with a running track. It was opened on 24 July 1962 and dedicated to Soekarno, the first Indonesian president, who was in power between 1945 and 1967. It hosted the Asian Games the year it opened.

It originally held 100,800 fans but it was then reduced to 80,083 following refurbishment in 2007, the year it hosted the final of the Asian Cup. The capacity of the stadium will be lowered to around 70,000 for Inter's matches.
