APPIANO: PREPARING FOR LAZIO WITH THE FANS

Personalised sessions for Alvarez, Forlan, Pazzini and Ranocchia; thigh complaint for Obi

APPIANO GENTILE - A throng of fans turned up at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti this afternoon to watch the team's second-last training session before Sunday's match against Lazio. The Nerazzurri worked on the main pitch: a warm-up in groups, technical and tactical drills then a practice match, with Julio Cesar (suspended for Lazio) featuring in a midfield role.

The following players trained separately from the main group: Ricardo Alvarez (strength-building programme, partly on the pitch), Diego Forlan (skills-specific programme), Giampaolo Pazzini (skills-specific programme) and Andrea Ranocchia (personalised work in the gym due to mild flu symptoms).

Joel Obi picked up a thigh problem and had to return to the dressing room early.

Luc Castaignos (partly on the pitch), Cristian Chivu and Dejan Stankovic continued their individual programmes as they work their way back to match fitness.

The following Primavera players joined in with the first team today: goalkeepers Raffaele Di Gennaro and Raffaele Dalle Vedove, midfielder Alfred Duncan and forwards Samuele Longo and Marco Livaja.

Tomorrow morning the Nerazzurri will have their final training session before the Lazio game. Afterwards, at 13:00, Andrea Stramaccioni will hold his press conference (live on Inter Channel and inter.it). The team will set off for Rome in the afternoon.
