APPIANO GENTILE - The first training session of the week lasted around 80 minutes as the team made preparations for Lazio v Inter, their last match in Serie A 2011/12, scheduled for Sunday 13 May at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The group had individual warm-up sessions in the gym before ball practice on the pitch, technical and tactical drills and mini matches, grouped according to role. As well as Javier Zanetti, who has just become a father again, Fredy Guarin and Andrea Poli trained with the group, as did Julio Cesar in an outfield role and Primavera player Alfred Duncan. Keepers Raffaele Di Gennaro ('93) and Raffaele Delle Vedove ('94) also joined the first team squad for training.

Ricardo Alvarez underwent an individual strength-building programme. Luc Castaignos and Cristian Chivu carried out a complete cycle of individual physical recovery exercises. There was a therapy and physiotherapy session awaiting Dejan Stankovic.
