APPIANO GENTILE - The team spent an hour on the training pitch this morning in what was their final session before tomorrow's match against Cagliari at the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste. After the warm-up, Andrea Stramaccioni had the players go through a series of ball possession exercises and tactical drills focusing on set pieces.
Goalkeeper Raffaele Di Gennaro (born 1993) and wide forward Marko Livaja (1993) trained with the first team today. Julio Cesar and Lucio also worked with the main group even though they are suspended for tomorrow's match. Ricardo Alvarez completed the full session with his team-mates and then continued with an individual programme.
There were three players following personalised programmes: Luc Castaignos had treatment and physiotherapy while Maicon and Wesley Sneijder worked towards regaining match fitness.
