PRIMAVERA: DEFEAT AGAINST CHIEVO

The Nerazzurri lose 0-1 away to Chievo in their Week 23 fixture: a 66th-minute penalty decided the match

DESENZANO DEL GARDA - Bessa was unavailable and Di Gennaro and Livaja were called up to the first team, but otherwise Daniele Bernazzani (making his debut in the dugout) fielded an Inter line-up similar to the one that beat Ajax in last Sunday's final. Castaignos came in alongside Longo up front with Alborno on the left wing. Little happened in the first half as a well-organised  Chievo side prevented the Nerazzurri from getting their game going. That changed after the break and Inter spent long periods camped in the final third but in the 66th minute, during the Nerazzurri's best spell, Chievo took advantage of their only real chance. Shortly after coming on for Cisotti, Hernandez found himself through on goal following Coletta's clearance; Sala fouled the striker inside the box and the referee awarded a penalty. Franco made no mistake from the spot and his strike proved to be the matchwinner.
