MORATTI: JUVENTUS V INTER AND THE YOUNGSTERS

"An undeserved defeat in Turin given our 1st half display. In London, a win against an excellent side"

MILAN – President Massimo Moratti answered the questions of the waiting journalists outside the entrance of the Saras offices. There were two main talking points - Juventus v Inter and the European success of the Primavera team.

Was yesterday's defeat another major blow to Inter?

"If I said no... I think you already know the answer. Of course it's a blow, it's also a rather undeserved defeat given the way we played in the first half, but seeing as we didn't score a goal, then obviously you can also concede."

You were in London yesterday to watch Ajax v Inter, the final of the NextGen Series. Did you get the feeling that some of the players could have played in Turin rather than in London?

"They're very young players, it's up to the coach to decide whether they're up to playing at a high level like Serie A. It is however heartening to see young players like this, as a large proportion of them are excellent, so good in fact that they've brought home a very important trophy against a talented side."

Could any of them already be with the first team for the remaining games of the season?

"I'm not the coach but I think there are already three or four who could feature for a few minutes, perhaps even more, but now is a not a time to look at individuals."

Will Claudio Ranieri still be in charge of Inter come the end of the season?

"I think so."
