APPIANO GENTILE - The team spent an hour on the pitch this morning for their final training session before tomorrow's match against Novara (15:00) at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan's San Siro district. After a warm-up the Nerazzurri carried out technical and athletic exercises followed by some tactical work and set-piece practice, before ending with a practice match on a small pitch.
After training separately yesterday, Ricardo Alvarez was back with the rest of the group today. Giampaolo Pazzini, displaying mild flu symptoms, trained indoors. Fredy Guarin and Walter Samuel continued with their individual rehabilitation programmes, which included some work on the pitch.
The players that Claudio Ranieri has named in the squad for tomorrow's match will meet at the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti tonight for dinner and the pre-match retreat.
