MILAN - "It's a legal monstrosity dealing with a matter in which the main
character cannot explain what happened. And I stress to explain rather than
defend, because Giacinto Facchetti did nothing for which he has to defend
himself." With these words Milly Moratti answered reporters at the
presentation of the Notte Bianca at the Stadio Meazza when asked about the
Scudetto of 2006. She continued: "I still remember what happened in the
past. I remember Ronaldo being brought down and much more. That was a terrible time for
football and very terrible for us."
Then there was a comment on Gian Piero Gasperini and his new Inter:
"Gasperini is a serious coach, 'normally' serious," stated the
smiling Mrs. Moratti. "We like him, we really like him. Yesterday I saw
the game and I enjoyed it, Massimo [Moratti, Ed.] enjoyed himself too, and he
was happy with the play. And then we must consider the fact that we did not
even have all of the starters available."
