MILAN - Javier Zanetti is disappointed Inter came away with only a point from Sunday night's clash against Roma. "I don't know if what we got was the right result," the Inter captain told Inter Channel, reminding all the fans to contribute to a campaign promoted by the Lega Calcio and Serie A sponsor Tim in favour of the Italian Cancer Research Association.
"We took the match in our hands after Roma's goal and we tried to surprise our opponent", continued the captain. "We missed a few but that can happen when you're looking to take the lead. The important thing is that it was always our intention to win the game."
Zanetti is not looking for any excuses. "I don't think tiredness was the problem. We have played many consecutive matches but Inter didn't give up tonight. We tried to win and we're not looking for excuses. We are still on top, we'll keep working well now during the break.
"Juventus and Milan? They were there before and they will be there until the final round."
