MILAN - French referee Bertrand Layec has been appointed to take charge of Wednesday evening's UEFA Champions League Group F clash at the Valeriy Lobanovskiy Stadium in Kiev.
A UEFA referee since 2002, the 44-year-old official from Saint-Avé in Brittany has refereed the Nerazzurri on one previous occasion: Inter 2-1 Spartak Moscow in Matchday 3 in the 2006/07 Champions League on 18 October 2006.
Layec will be assisted by Annonier and Benech in Ukraine, with Ledentu acting as fourth official.
