MILAN - Massimo Moratti spoke briefly on SkyItalia after the Nerazzurri's 2-1 Champions League victory over Spartak Moscow:
Inter got an important result but perhaps they suffered a bit even though you were were 2-0 up at the start...
"Opponents exist, and we're in the Champions League and there are never any easy opponents. Even in last night's match (between Milan and Anderlecht) it was difficult when the opponents were trying to score. I have to say that our goalkeeper did very well in the decisive moments. We started off very well then we administered the game quite well apart from when they scored."
Now the results are coming for Inter, what does this team need to become a great team?
"I don't know (smiles). If we continue like this as a 'not great team' but win all our matches like this, it would be fine all the same. Then it's up to you to decide which adjective to use. I thought today's was a normal Champions League match against a strong team. Perhaps we should have killed it off in the first half and we had the chances to. We had scored a third which was disallowed, but looking at the reply it seemed fine. It was a fairly normal match, but we're so used to suffering that we suffer even when we shouldn't do."
What did you think of Cruz and Recoba in attack? Before the match you said it was a good strike partnership...
"Because I had already seen them on other occasions, but it obviously depends on whether they are in form or not. I thought the first twenty minutes were excellent but then a bit of tiredness crept in."
Looking at the performances of Cruz and Recoba, will anything change in the pecking order of the Inter strikers?
"I don't know... (smiles). Adriano still isn't completed okay. The pecking order depends on the form of the players, who are all of excellent quality. And in any case, I will leave the decision to Mancini."
