MILAN - After their 4-1 victory over Falkirk in February, FC Muratidentro are back in action this Saturday with a match against iLFC, a team of Liverpool supporters. The game will take place on Saturday at the Stadio Comunale in Bresso (kick-off 18:00), with the English fans to be guests of Inter for Sunday's Serie A match against Lazio at the Meazza.
FC Muratidentro are a team of Nerazzurri fans who met through Inter.it six years ago and founded an Inter Club. They have taken part in various editions of the Worldnet Cup, a tournament for fan teams from all over Europe.
From the iLFC website:
iLFC are very proud and honoured to have been invited to Milano next weekend to play against the great "Muratidentro". We met this team of Inter fans at last summer's "Worldnet" tournament, where they won the "Plate" competition. Conversations off the pitch, though, proved to be more important than events on it, and our victory over their red-and-black rivals in Istanbul helped establish a bond.
"Muratidentro" is a play on words about their affiliation to the "Muro" or internet "wall" which used to be their message board, and in some ways they seem to have a similar history to our team which came out of RAWK, which in turn came out of the inadequacies and foldings of other official & non-official message boards.
What is certain is that Muratidentro have been established a lot longer than iLFC, are a very slick, fast passing outfit & are used to playing on this artificial surface. iLFC will be wearing their mouldies & Astros for the first time since last season's memorable "Amicizia" game v. the Juve Supporters at LFC's Academy. It's uncanny that here we are one year later in Italy, and that once again international "Amicizia" is the most important thing.
Other events of the weekend in Milano include a welcome party on Friday with the theme ":adopt a Liverpool fan" and of course iLFC's Sunday visit to the Stadio Meazza (San Siro) as guests of FC Internazionale for the Serie A match between Inter & Lazio. We would like to say thanks in anticipation of a superb weekend to Luca Renoldi & Muratidentro who have arranged all this for our first "European" adventure!
