APPIANO GENTILE - Roberto Mancini divided his players into two groups for Thursday afternoon's workout at Angelo Moratti Sports Centre. After a warm-up, those who played most of Tuesday's Champions League match against Ajax continued with some low intensity aerobic work followed by a practice match and more aerobic work at a higher intensity.
The other first-team players plus the Primavera players who did not take part in yesterday's cup final first leg win against Milan performed warm-up exercises then played a 50-minute practice match on the central pitch and concluded with some aerobic work. Julio Cesar played both halves of 25 minutes for Inter Primavera, with Ze Maria playing a side for either half. The first team won 2-0 with goals from Alvaro Recoba and Julio Cruz (penalty).
Luis Figo, who asked Roberto Mancini for the afternoon off, did an individual aerobic session this morning. Giuseppe Favalli continued his injury-recovery programme (therapy, strengthening in gym and cycling). Dejan Stankovic (disqualified for Sunday's league match against Lazio) had a day's leave.
