ALL SQUARE IN DERBY D'ITALIA

MILAN - Late goals from Christian Vieri and Adriano ensured Inter a point from Sunday evening's pulsating 2-2 draw between Nerazzurri and Bianconeri at the Giuseppe Meazza.

After a goalless first half, Juventus went in front eight minutes into the second period when Zalayeta diverted Nedved's 20-yard shot past Toldo. Ibrahimovic doubled for the visitors on 67 minutes, converting from the penalty spot after Toldo brought down Zalayeta in the box.

Roberto Mancini's reply was to throw on forwards Vieri and Recoba for Dutch duo Davids and van der Meyde for what turned out to be a frenetic final twenty minutes. And it proved to be the turning point as the two subs combined in the 79th minute. Recoba played a wonderful ball wide to Vieri, who volleyed a low, diagonal shot out of Buffon's reach and into the bottom right-hand corner.

Adriano popped up with Inter's equaliser and his seventeeth of the season five minutes from full time, squeezing between Thuram and Zebina on the edge of the six-yard box to fire home Obafemi Martin's right-wing cross.

Inter's are at home again next Saturday evening with the visit of Sicilian outfit Messina in Week 14 of the Serie A championship.
