MANCINI: "THE STRONGEST TEAM AVAILABLE"

APPIANO GENTILE - Roberto Mancini news conference (3):

It was a very focused Inter in Bremen...
"Sometimes we let in goals because of lack of concentration and other times without a real reason. For example, in some matches we didn't give away anything and our opponents had four crosses and managed to score. I think that on those occasions it just had to go in that way. I don't think we should look for an individual to blame. On other occasions the team has managed to recover after falling behind. This means that we have character and we always try to play well. We played an excellent game in Bremen."

Mancini, do you believe in the concept 'a turning point match'?
"In the history of football there have been situations in a season in which one match has been a turning point for different reasons. Maybe you'll get a victory you weren't expecting, maybe you beat the team in front of you. You gain courage from those moments."

Could Inter v Juventus be a turning point match?
"Yes, it could be."

On Thursday you said you were hoping Pierluigi Collina would referee the match...
"I said that because I didn't think he had refereed many big matches. However I think Rodomonti is fine."

Any considerations to make as regards your formation for tomorrow?
"We have changed our midfield in certain matches because we were letting in too many goals, not to adapt to what our opponents do. I'm never worried about the opponents, even though I respect them. I think I always have the strongest team available. If we play like we know how I think we can win often. But I'm not affected by our opponents, I think I have the best team available. I think we can play well and be a solid team at the same time."

is Adriano calm?
"Yes, he's calm."

Who is more motivated, Edgar Davids because he faces Juventus or Adriano after what was said about him this week?
"Adriano is the same as usual. I think Davids is doing much better."

Is there anything Roberto Mancini can learn from Fabio Capello?
"You need to be in contact with a person to learn something from him. Capello is a great coach and has won with every team he has coached. It's every coach's wish to repeat what he has done."

Could Inter v Juventus be decided by an episode?
"It could be, but this won't affect my choices."
