Mourinho v AC Milan

José Mourinho faces the Rossoneri for the second time in his coaching career after the 2003 European Super Cup defeat.

Ancelotti: 400th bench in Serie A

Carlo Ancelotti is set for the 400th Serie A appearance of his coaching career. He has coached Parma, Juventus and Milan in the top flight, collecting 226 wins, 102 draws and 71 defeats. Ancelotti made a winning start to his career as a Serie A coach on 7 September 1996 when Parma beat Napoli 3-0.

Just one Milan clean sheet in last 19 league games

The Rossoneri have kept only one clean sheet in their last 19 Serie A fixtures. That was on 22 March 2008 when they beat Torino 1-0 at home. Milan have conceded a total of 27 goals in the other 18 matches.

Sheva prolific against Inter

Andriy Shevchenko has scored 173 goals in Italian football, 14 of which have come in matches against Inter (more than any other team).

Gattuso poised for 300th Serie A outing

If he plays in Sunday's derby, Gennaro Gattuso will make his 300th appearance in the Serie A. The Calabrian midfielder, who has played top-flight football for Perugia, Salernitana and AC Milan, made his debut in Bologna 0-0 Perugia on 22 December 1996.

Milan's versatility up front

After four rounds of league games, no team has scored with as many different players as AC Milan. Ambrosini, Borriello, Kakà, Pato, Seedorf and Zambrotta have all hit the net for the Rossoneri in the first 360 minutes of the 2008/09 Serie A championship.

Inter goalless in just one of last 20 games

Inter have failed to score in just one of their last 20 competitive games - a 0-0 Coppa Italia draw at home to Lazio on 16 April 2008. In the other 19 matches, the Nerazzurri have scored a total of 31 goals.

Stankovic & goals against Milan

Of his 57 goals for Italian clubs (Lazio and Inter), Dejan Stankovic has scored more against AC Milan (4) and Lecce (4) than any other team.

Ibra, Vieira & goals in September

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Patrick Vieira are at their most prolific in the Serie A championship in the month of September. Of his 57 league goals in Italy the Swede has scored 12 in September, while 3 of Vieira's 9 'Italian' goals have come in the ninth calendar month.

MILAN - Ronaldinho scored his first goal for AC Milan as Inter fell to their first defeat under José Mourinho.

The Brazilian headed Kaka's cross beyond Julio Cesar and into the top right corner on 36 minutes to seal a victory that leaves the Nerazzurri third in the table behind Lazio and Napoli.

The first half was an evenly balanced affair, with Inter's Mancini drilling wide and Maicon firing over before Kaka forced a good save from Julio Cesar.

Quaresma forced Abbiati into a tipped save, the Rossoneri keeper parrying Ibrahimovic's low shot moments later before Milan launched a counter-attack that resulted in Ronaldinho's opening goal.

With AC bossing the game in the early stages of the second half, José Mourinho made a double change, bringing on Adriano and Julio Cruz for Marco Materazzi and Mancini.

The tactical switch appeared to turn the game in Inter's favour but the Nerazzurri's task was made harder when Burdisso was sent marching for a second yellow in the 77th minute.

With time running out Mourinho made a further change, introducing Stankovic for Vieira. The Serbian almost grabbed a late equaliser, his well struck shot parried by Abbiati with Adriano narrowly missing with his follow-up shot.

Ancelotti responded by bringing on Shevchenko for Ronaldinho and the Ukrainian went close to increasing his team's lead a minute from time, forcing a splendid save from Julio Cesar with his blistering close-range shot.
