No Cagliari win on Sardinian soil since 1993/94

Cagliari's last home win over Inter dates back to 1993/94, a UEFA Cup tie won 3-2 by the Rossoblu. The last Sant'Elia draw between these two teams was this season's 1-1 stalemate in the Coppa Italia, and Inter's most recent win at Cagliari was a 2-0 victory in the 1999/00 Serie A. Cagliari have won 5, drawn 16 and lost 9 of their 30 competitive home matches against Inter.

Mancini unbeaten against Sonetti

Roberto Mancini has faced veteran coach Nedo Sonetti in two competitive matches, and has won both.

Mancini's winning bench

Of Inter's 66 Serie A goals in 2005/06, 11 have been scored by substitutes: Cruz (5), Adriano (2), Cambiasso (1), Pizarro (1), Recoba (1) and Mihajlovic (1). No other team has scored as many goals with subs this season.

Martins & goals against Cagliari

Six of Obafemi Martins' 49 goals for Inter have come in matches against Cagliari. The Nigerian striker put five past the Rossoblu last season, twice at home (1 in Serie A, 1 in Tim Cup) and three times away (2 in Serie A, 1 in Tim Cup). The sixth was Inter's opening goal in the 3-2 home win over Cagliari in Week 19 on 15 January 2006.

Suazo emulates Riva

With 21 goals in this season's Serie A, David Suazo has equalled Cagliari legend Gigi Riva's record of 21 goals for the club in one top-flight season, set in 1969/70 and repeated in 1971/72.

Cagliari and goals conceded

Cagliari have let in goals in each of their last 7 Serie A matches (total 10 goals conceded). The Rossoblu last kept a clean sheet in the goalless home draw with Fiorentina on 22 March 2006.

Cagliari and penalties against

After 37 Serie A 2005/06 matches Cagliari and Livorno have each had 11 penalties given against them, more than any other team.

Eight Rossoblu on target in 2005/06

Like Empoli and Lecce, just eight Cagliari players have scored league goals for the Rossoblu this season: Abeijon, Bega, Capone, Conti, Esposito, Gobbi, Langella and Suazo.

One Cagliari player off bench and on target

Cagliari are one of three Serie A 2005/06 teams to have scored with just one substitute: Langella in Cagliari 2-1 Udinese on 8 January 2006. The other two teams are Livorno and Ascoli.

Eleven Cagliari dismissals in 2005/06

Cagliari are one of three least disciplined teams contesting this season's Serie A, with 11 Rossoblu red cards after 37 games. Bega, Canini and Conti have been sent off twice while Abeijon, Bizera, Gobbi, Langella, Lopez have each been dismissed once.

Inter one away from 700th draw

Last Sunday's 1-1 draw with Siena was Inter's 699th stalemate in the one-division Serie A championship (since 1929/30). The Nerazzurri's first Serie A one-pointer was a 1-1 home draw with Lazio on 27 October 1929. Balestrini equalised for the Nerazzurri on 63 minutes to cancel out Sbrana's 33rd-minute opener for the Romans.

Goals conceded by Inter in last 9 away games

Livorno 0-0 Inter on 18 February 2006 was the last time the Nerazzurri kept a clean sheet on the road. Mancini's team have conceded goals in each of the 9 away matches played since that date (5 in Serie A, 2 in Coppa Italia and 2 in Champions League), letting in a total of 11 goals.

CAGLIARI - Inter's 3,500th competitive match finished in a draw as the Nerazzurri played out a 2-2 stalemate with Cagliari at the Sant'Elia on the final day of the Serie A season.

The Nerazzurri twice came back from behind, with Julio Cruz and Santiago Solari replying to Rossoblu goals from Capone and Suazo.

Andrea Capone rose above Zanetti and headed in an Esposito cross to give the Rossoblu an 8th-minute lead, but Cruz brought the teams level three minutes later with his 15th goal of the Serie A season, a curling free kick which hit the Cagliari wall on its way into the bottom left corner.

Suazo restored the home side's lead just after the half-hour mark, slotting into an open goal after Cordoba failed to block Esposito's ball in from the right. But once again the Nerazzurri's reaction was immediate. Receiving a Cruz cut-back, Solari drifted past two opponents before rifling an unstoppable left-foot shot past Chimenti for his fifth goal in an Inter shirt.

After the restart Roberto Mancini handed first-team debuts to three Inter Primavera players. Domenico Germinale replaced Pierre Wome early on but was forced off in the closing stages with an ankle knock. On came Germinale's Primavera strike partner Ilario Aloe who went close to a dramatic winner for the Nerazzurri but his shot from inside the Cagliari area on 89 minutes was saved by Chimenti's feet. Defender Leonardo Bonucci replaced Santiago Solari on the stroke of full time.

Inter finish the Serie A season in third place with 76 points from 38 matches.
